Hurling & Camogie
Hurling, or Camogie (the female version of the sport), is an emblematic game of Irish culture.
Present in mythology for over 2,000 years, it is still played all over the island of Ireland.
Adult teams are made up of fifteen players who play on a well-defined field. They use a wooden stick (the hurley) similar to a field hockey stick but with a flattened end, and a small ball (the sliotar).
The aim of the game is to hit the sliotar with the hurley, sending it between the opposing team's goals.
